Overview
OSM Concrete was engaged by the Browns to transform the front access and outdoor pathways of their Robina homestead with a complete driveway and pedestrian access upgrade.
The existing pavers and sections of concrete were removed to make way for a larger, more functional driveway capable of improving vehicle access while significantly enhancing the property’s street appeal. The driveway was widened to approximately 3.5 metres, flaring to 5 metres at the street to provide easier entry and exit.
To achieve the required levels, approximately 10m³ of additional recycled road base was imported, placed and compacted before construction commenced. The existing kerb and driveway crossing were also removed and reconstructed to comply with City of Gold Coast standards.
The finished project features 178m² of premium Alaska white exposed aggregate concrete, complemented by new pedestrian pathways and a plain concrete service area behind the side gate. The result is a clean, modern entrance that combines durability with a high-end architectural finish.

Project Challenges
We had a one-week window to complete the project whilst the house was empty.
Careful coordination was required to manage excavation, site preparation, reinforcement, concrete supply, and finishing operations while maintaining a premium standard of workmanship throughout the project.
Construction & Delivery
Planning, communication and coordination was essential to completing this project on time. Having chosen a premium decorative finish required additional effort when finishing to ensure a clean and well-presented, high quality product was achieved.
Despite the time crunch, OSM demonstrated once again our ability to efficiently manage large residential concrete projects on a short timeframe without compromising quality or client experience.
Outcome
The completed project has transformed both the appearance and functionality of the property. The widened driveway provides improved vehicle access, while the new white exposed aggregate finish creates an elegant entrance that complements the home’s elevated Queensland-style architecture.
Combined with the new pathways and carefully finished concrete surfaces, the project delivers a practical, durable and visually striking solution designed to provide many years of reliable performance.
